My HP Proliant(HP-PL) turned up today and i was going to stick FreeNAS on it but it's an absolute nightmare (noob talking). File transfer speeds are also pretty good over my newly installed Gigabit network. I'm going through my own learning curve with it because FreeNAS is based on FreeBSD.
